LILY
The lily is one of the oldest plants found on planet Earth. It is believed to be a survivor from before the Ice Age. Lilies dating back to the fifteenth century B.C. adorned beautiful vases found in ancient ruins on the island of Crete. The tombs of Egyptian Pharaohs often contain Lily-decorated items.
The Bible is filled with references to Lilies. Solomon's Temple was adorned with "Lily work".
